CO Architects is a modern architecture firm based in Los Angeles. The branding features bright, bold minimalism and playful geometry, with an emphasis on their collaborative spirit.
Project
The client wanted a striking design for employee tote bags that people would want to wear and that positively represented the firm. I decided to use the letters of the logo and transform them into a layered, decorative pattern.
Design
Immediately, I envisioned the look of highly saturated pigments on top of a natural canvas material. The vivid palette contrasted well with the beige bag, rather than the starkness (and impracticality) of a pure white. I experimented with neons and other strong hues, manipulating the logo and typography to create abstract designs that maintained the firm’s strong branding.
